Hello, my name is Naoko.
My journey into doula work is a little different.
After gaining experience as a midwife in Japan, I moved to the United States, where I experienced pregnancy, birth, and parenting myself.
I chose the path of becoming a doula — rather than working as a midwife in the U.S. — because I believe deeply in the value of continuous, personalized support. Pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period can be some of the most meaningful and joyful experiences in life, but they can also be emotionally and physically challenging. These are moments that are often difficult to navigate alone.
By combining my midwifery knowledge from Japan with my experience as a doula in the United States, I am committed to supporting and educating families through evidence-based care and compassionate guidance. Doula training is rooted in research and professional education, ensuring that every doula carries a shared foundation of knowledge, experience, and respect for each family’s unique journey.
At Hello My Doula, we believe no one should go through birth alone — and we are here to walk alongside you every step of the way.
